Designer Handbags to Support Colombia: Project Wayuu

The Wayuu they are an ancient tribe inhabiting the Guajira in northern Colombia. And it is to them to whom it is addressed the Project Wayuu. This was a real challenge for big names such as Matthew Williamson, Giorgio Armani, Proenza Schouler, Oscar the Renata, Valentino and Carolina Herrera, those who had to merge your style with the traditional geometric print of the tribe to design a solidarity handbag collection.

Sponsored by Lauren Santo Domingo, the work of designers is reflected in this mini-collection of 40 pieces, that provides a signature ethnic air bags. These were performed by the women of the wayuu tribe and recently subartaron in Miami.

The funds raised will go to non-governmental organizations as United For Colombia, Genesis Foundation, Key for Colombia, Formula smiles and Give to Colombia. Note that these fusion of craftsmanship and artistic pieces were able to reach a price of between 400 and $7000. A good cause and a spectacular work that manages to promote the native in the fashion world.

My favorite, the colors red of Moschino, the of you?
