The years passed and the 19th century arrived with major changes. The appearance of the train caused a revolution in transport and therefore also in the type of baggage that would be required to travel on it. Certainly it is not the same travel riding that train, the distance traveled would be longer and would therefore require more costumes. First luggage bags were made in gender and even though they were spacious, the design was not elegant and comfortable to wear. In 1854, Louis Vuitton French took the opportunity and created a trunk with strong profiles of iron and made gender waterproof. From that moment, Vuitton became the owner of the elegant luggage.

At this time the women had greater independence and mobility, so it needed a bag that could carry more than the powder for the face or a small bottle of perfume. Designers such as Gucci, Prada and the same Louis Vuitton took the design of the luggage bag and carried it on a smaller scale, although still sharing some details of structure and accessories, to give with a perfect cosmetic case for trips to the shops.
